As a Pavement Coordinator, you will offer engineering technical support and assistance across assigned program areas. Your key responsibilities will include data collection, technical assistance, records management, field reviews and inspections, documentation, and schedule development.
This position is located in our Bristol District office, where you’ll join a dedicated team of over 700 professionals driven to keeping Virginia moving.

Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of material sampling and testing principles.
• Knowledge of engineering aspects of highway materials usage.
• Ability to prepare oral and written technical reports.
• Skill in the use of computers and software applications to include database applications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, interpret pavement plans, specifications and contracts.
• Ability to apply statistical concepts in analyzing data.
• Knowledge of highway construction and maintenance materials.
• Ability to obtain required materials certifications within reasonable period of employment.
Additional Considerations
• DEQ Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector or Designer certification.
• Experience in pavement management to include pavement ratings, properties, sampling and
testing procedures.
• Guardrail (GRIT) certification.
• A combination of training, experience, or education in Civil Engineering, or related field
desired.
• Experience in data collection processes and schedule development.
• Hazardous Waste (DOT) - RCRA certification.
• Radiation Safety (Nuclear Gauge) certification.
• Applicable materials certifications to include: asphalt, concrete, soils and aggregates,
pavement markings, etc.
