D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Interior Design Manager. The right candidate will manage the Interior Design Department and its staff, including overseeing the decoration and maintenance of model homes.


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.




  • Manage the Interior Design Department



  • Oversee the decoration and maintenance of model homes



  • Supervise Interior Designers



  • Correspond with vendors, suppliers, and field personnel



  • Keep office running smoothly and within budget



  • Coordinate installations and model close-outs



  • Negotiate new vendor contracts as necessary



  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company



  • Able to travel overnight




Supervisory Responsibilities                                              


Directly manages two or more employees in the Interior Design Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


 

Qualifications

 

Education and/or Experience


 


Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Annual Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
