We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties. The HVAC Technician will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

· Installing, maintaining, and repairing: Installing, connecting, adjusting, and repairing all components of HVAC systems

· Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems

· Providing technical direction: Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to coworkers

· Reports: Maintain accurate records of all service done and upload in 360- pictures and notes

· Ensure all work meets the quality standards of Viking Heating & Sheetmetal

· Communicate effectively with customers and team members

· Occasionally oversee on repairs and installations

· Help the office sell PM contracts to customers when the need is found

Other Possible Responsibilities:

· Keep up with learning when new systems come out

· Complete start-ups on systems

Location and commitment:

· 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

· 40+ hours a week

· Possible out-of-town work but mostly in the metro area

· During the summer months there is a rotation for the service techs to be on call

· Possibility of being on call for holidays

· Friday after Thanksgiving the company is closed. You may choose to work if you have anything

· A $150 allowance to get new boots or pants after 1 year

· When you are on call you automatically get $100. If it’s a holiday you get paid for 4 hours regular time no matter if you get called. We are always closed on Sunday’s.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
