Construction Superintendent 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all on-site construction activities from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions of performance in a safe sequence of work activities. 
  • Prepare external and internal reports relating to job status, daily progress and deliverables. Familiar with subcontractor partner subcontracts and scopes of work
  • Directly responsible for the project’s financial success along with Project Manager
  • Communicate with the responsible parties to ensure quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry techniques and processes are utilized, while ensuring the client’s needs and wants are efficiently met.
  • Supervise construction projects to ensure they are completed on time and exceed the customer’s requirements and expectations.
  • Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, architects, and vendors.

Tasks:

  • Set up and ensure all jobsite trailers and temporary facilities are up to MLGP standards and expectations.
  • Ensure all required materials, equipment and inspections occur to support the project schedule.
  • Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall job site is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.
  • Understanding of all subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Understanding of all projects General Conditions and General Requirements.
  • Manage the overall project and 3-week look ahead schedule and update them on a weekly basis. 
  • Understand, review and manage project plans, specifications and submittal data and execute project based upon said documents. 
  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability 
  • Generate RFI’s as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identify and clarify any discrepancies. 
  • Conduct weekly on-site safety meetings. 
  • Conduct weekly on-site subcontractor coordination meetings. 
  • Attend and present ongoing work activities and safety updates at all OAC meetings.  Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site. 
  • Clearly communicate any contractual delay claims to the project team. 
  • Work with project team to maintain relationships with owners, design team, subcontractors and visitors. 
  • Realize you are the face of MLGP to our subcontracting partners, design team members and owners.
  • 1st line of enforcement to hold subcontracting partners accountable for their project performance. 
  • Oversee project closeout in regard to all required permit approvals and certificate of occupancy.
